Privacy Policy
TextGlyphs does not ask you to create an account, does not run advertising, and does not load any analytics or tracking script. The text you type into our tools stays in your own browser. This page describes exactly what is and is not collected when you visit TextGlyphs.

The short version
We do not collect personal information from visitors. There are no accounts, no sign-up form, no comments and no newsletter. The symbol grids and text transformers run entirely as code in your browser, so what you type is never sent to us. The only data that reaches a server at all is the ordinary technical record every website receives when your browser requests a page.
What happens to the text you type
Nothing leaves your device. The small-text, cursed-text and glyph tools are client-side JavaScript: the transformation happens in your browser and the result is written straight back to the page. There is no network request carrying your input, so we could not read your text even if we wanted to. That is a design decision, not a promise about how carefully we handle a database — there is no database of user text.
What we store in your browser
So that the site remembers your work between visits, we save a few small values in your browser’s own localStorage. This is storage on your device; it is not transmitted to us and it is not readable by other websites.

None of these contain personal information, and all of them are removed the moment you clear site data for textglyphs.com in your browser. Copy counts shown on the site are yours alone — we do not aggregate them and we do not publish invented popularity figures, as set out in our editorial standards.
There is no user-generated content on TextGlyphs: no comments, no profiles, no nicknames, no votes and no uploads. Nothing you make with the tools is submitted anywhere, so there is no retention period to quote and no deletion request to file — clearing your browser’s site data is the whole of it.
Server logs and our CDN
Like every website, our hosting server records a technical log entry for each request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. TextGlyphs is served through the Cloudflare content delivery network, so Cloudflare also processes these connection details in order to route and protect the traffic. This information is used only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or outages; it is not combined into a profile of you and it is not sold or shared for marketing.
Third-party services we load
We keep external dependencies to a minimum. At the time of writing, the site loads exactly one third-party resource in your browser:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com) for the typefaces the site is set in. Because your browser fetches those files directly, your IP address and user-agent are visible to Google when it does so. Google’s handling of that request is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Beyond that, and the Cloudflare delivery layer described above, no third-party code runs on these pages.
Cookies
TextGlyphs sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. You can browse and use every tool on the site without accepting anything, which is why you are not shown a cookie banner. WordPress sets session and preference cookies only for signed-in administrators of the site, and Cloudflare may set a cookie of its own to distinguish legitimate traffic from automated abuse.
What we deliberately do not do
- No analytics of any kind — there is no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager and no self-hosted equivalent on this site.
- No advertising network, no ad cookies and no retargeting pixels.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No user accounts and no registration — registration is disabled at the platform level.
- No comment system: comments are closed on every page, so there is no name, email or IP collected through a comment form.
- No email list, and no selling or renting of any data.
Your choices and your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Because we hold no account and no user record, there is normally nothing for us to look up, export or erase about you. You can delete everything the site keeps on your device at any time by clearing site data for textglyphs.com in your browser settings, or by using your browser’s private-browsing mode so nothing is stored in the first place. Blocking third-party requests to fonts.gstatic.com in your browser or an extension will stop the font request described above; the site remains usable with your system fonts.
If you are in the EU, UK or another region with a statutory right of access, erasure or objection, you can exercise it against the limited technical logs described above by contacting us. Our lawful basis for processing those logs is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website, and we do not transfer any personal data to a third country for our own purposes.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you rights to know, delete, correct and opt out. We can state the substance plainly: in the past twelve months we have collected no category of personal information beyond the server and CDN log data described above, we have not sold or shared personal information, we do not engage in cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would require an opt-out. There is therefore no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism to offer you — not because we have hidden it, but because the practice it would opt you out of does not happen here. You can still write to us to exercise any of those rights, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Children
TextGlyphs is a general-audience reference site. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If we add a service that changes what is collected — analytics, for instance, or any form that accepts your details — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that service goes live. Material changes are also recorded in our patch notes.
